According to BTS agency Big Hit Music on the 20th, Jin worked with Coldplay on his first solo single, “The Astronaut,” which will be released on the 28th. Coldplay was named for its collaborative composition, songwriting and performance.
Earlier, Jin announced his plan to release a new song at the 2030 Busan World Exposition Prayer Concert “BTS Old Two Com in Busan” on the 15th, saying, “I’m going to release a song because I’m close to someone I really liked.”
Jin and Coldplay will work together again following the collaboration song “My Universe” between BTS and Coldplay released last September. Upon its release, “My Universe” debuted as a hot shot to reach number one on the U.S. Billboard’s main single chart “Hot 100 Hot.” One year after its release, “My Universe” has been doing well on the Billboard charts.
Earlier, Jin released the TVN drama “Jiriyama” OST “Years” and the event song “Super Tuna,” but this is the first time he has officially released a single. This is Jin’s second official solo performance in BTS, following J-Hope.
Jin released a poster for “The Astronuts” with Coldplay on BTS’ official social network service. Jin will present various events including solo singles, related concept photos, and music video teaser. Meanwhile, Jin announced on the 17th that he will cancel the postponement of enlistment and start preparing for enlistment at the end of this month.
